Myofascial Release & Yin Yoga Workshop

Discover techniques to unravel tension in your tissues to prepare yourself to get deeper into your yoga practice and your life. Myofascial release moves along myofascial lines and meridians, the long fibrous pathways of connective tissue that contract and adhere from habitual movement and posture. This type of therapy aims to relax muscles, improve blood flow and lymphatic circulation. By manipulating the myofascia, physical and energetic constrictions are released, opening areas that may feel stuck or tense. This workshop will incorporate trigger point release, myofascial release & yin yoga so that you leave this with a simple but effective knowledge that you can apply on your own at home.
*This workshop will not include Vinyasa flow.
Please bring 3 tennis balls to be used during this workshop.
Christina LaMarca began practicing yoga in 2000 while in Massage Therapy school, where she began her fascination with anatomy. After nine years as a full time neuromuscular therapist and a steady yoga practitioner, Christina decided to take her 200hr YTT under Tami Schneider at Cleveland Yoga. She realized she could translate her skills of anatomy and massage into her yoga teaching, focusing on a well-rounded, healthy, healing practice for her students. She continued to search for new ways to heal the body through yoga, studying with Jonny Kest, Kathryn Budig, Bryan Kest, Mackenzie Miller, Dice Ilda-Klein, Patrick Beach and many more. In 2013, Christina took her first Myofascial Release workshop with Tiffany Cruikshank. After that workshop, she decided to pursue her 500hr TT with Tiffany and Yoga Medicine, a unique way to tailor yoga to heal the body using mindful yoga sequences specific to healing, meditation, Myofascial Release, and breathwork.
